If you are familiar with our sister pub, The Punch Bowl Inn, then the transformation will please if not surprise, if you are new customers, then prepare your surprised face.
We appear to be a simple roadside pub, but missing is the “Good Food Served All Day” sign. We do serve all day from 12pm till 9.30pm, and the food is very good, but we have taken a different tack with the place.
The bar and Farleton room are light and open, with a mix of comfy sofas and tables, made homely by wood burning stoves, continuous and rather impressive oak beams; wood floors and genuine antique furniture, (some may collapse on you, just to prove they are not reproduction)
We offer a selection of small plates and side dishes, from a variety of styles and cuisine to produce a real choice, from seafood, to a hearty steak, or a Moroccan kebab, whatever your taste buds are asking for.
With a simple attractive slate bar, and a couple of rustic wine caves, you can have a good nose before you pick your beverage, and we have worked carefully, to put together a selection of fine beers, local hand pulled ales, and an impressive wine list, many of which are served by the glass.
