Welcome to
The Plough
at Lupton

WE ARE NOW OPEN!

After closing in September 2008, this previously popular local pub was in a sorry state. It was rather unceremoniously deserted, the curtains drawn on the remnants and the dust settled.

The Plough was rescued in June 2009, by Punch Bowl Inns. What began as a six month refurbishment became twelve months, these things so often do. The place was stripped, gutted, a few walls ripped out, the floors came up and the roof came down and finally.... it has been rebuilt and newly furnished. The result, we hope you agree, was well worth the effort. The Plough interior is now a beautiful open space in which to relax and be easy; with wood burning stoves, stunning oak beams, antique furniture, and rustic wine caves.

The original idea was to rename the place The Inn at Farleton, but in recognition of its long history and the affectionate place it has held in the hearts of the locals, The Plough remains The Plough. It has had many face lifts and reinventions over the years, we hope this one will do the place proud!
